GOAL

The Wage Slaves is a "Bento" rebranding mission to create fresh, topical packaging and unique visual outputs that hit multiple sales channels and make an incredible marketing blitz. The target audience is White-collar workers in the inter-city of China who enjoy quality, simple, and efficient lifestyles.

LIMITATION

Cutting down the manufacturing budget is the major limitation of the design process; thus, we can only play around with the plastic cling film cover and re-design the bento packaging under the limited budget and the original packaging structure.

DESIGN SOLUTION

Among all the research findings on worker-relative topics, I’ve laid the last stone on an exciting issue, “The Wage Slaves,” as this topic is trendy and has gone viral on social media.
People have been posting many creative and hilarious contents expressing their mood during Asian work vitality. Many creators have created different features of “Wage Slaves” to personify and describe different types of employees. 

" Meaning of the Wage Slaves "

The Wage Slaves came from the Japanese slang "Shachiku社畜";
it is a term used to describe a situation where a person's livelihood depends on one's wages and salary, especially when the dependence is immediate.

As a result, the outcome has both conceptually and visually reached an outstanding result and has fully demonstrated the combination of interesting social topics, products, visual storytelling outputs, and audience (consumers).
